Customer Reviews Wonderful microwave Date: 2009-10-28 | Rating: 5 This is a wonderful microwave that I purchased to replace a Sharp that just quit suddenly. I like the powerful quick cooking and it does a great job with popcorn. The door release/open button has to be pressed kind of hard for the door to open but that may be because it is so new. I love this microwave and all it's features! Excellent Date: 2010-01-27 | Rating: 5 Excellent microwave! Cooks faster than my previous GE. My son gave me for Christmas. Thank you. Heats quick Date: 2009-12-09 | Rating: 4 We bought this during a kitchen remodel to replace an amana over range unit as we installed a range hood. It seems to have plenty of power and heats everything very fast and evenly. We really don't use the microwave for much more than reheating coffee and leftovers. So far it is working very well for that. Will probably need to refer to the manual for instructions on thawing frozen items as Panasonic says it is unique in the power delivery for that purpose. My only complaint so far is that it is not real intuitive in use and the door button works ok, but is not very smooth. Make sure you have plenty of juice on the circuit you plug it into as it pulls over 12 amps on high. Overall very satisfied. Just a Couple Flaws Date: 2010-01-26 | Rating: 4 Four pluses, two minuses. First, this is a seriously powerful oven. Second, it looks almost elegant--especially for a microwave. Third, the Panasonic inverter technology definitely helps in thawing evenly. For me, this practically eliminates all microwaves but Panasonics from consideration. Fourth, I like the dial. Okay, now for the troublesome issues. First, as others have remarked for this and similar Panasonics: what on earth were the designers thinking with the awful display? Standing at normal height, you cannot read the display when you are close to the oven. Like, oh, say, when you are trying to USE it. I say I love the dial, but to use the dial to set a time, I need to bend over to counter height. That is simply astoundingly bad design. My five foot two wife has the same problem. Looks great from across the room, though. Second, so far when I've used the reheat sensor it has heated up my soup and tea until it is boiling. Perhaps this is operator error, but I'm not *that* dim a bulb. If I find the error of my ways I'll revise this review. Still in all, a solid feeling product that does the job with a bit of style.
